Today, we wanted to tell you a little bit about our newest addition to our incredible team.  Jim Bound started working with us in September and we love having him here. When Jim was a child, he said that he wanted to become a nurse when he grew up, until he got his hands on a computer. Jim received his first computer when he was 16 years old. “Back then, we didn’t have helpful things like Google, YouTube, etc. to learn how to fix things. I had to learn all that on my own.” That’s when he realized he was up for that challenge. He continued to uncover more and more about computers and the hardware behind them. When he was 18 years old, he joined the military. Jim served many different roles in the military from working in an ambulance to a SatCom tech. He served for over 4 years, knew by then that computers were his passion and strived to grow in his skill. While Jim was search for a full-time IT position, he stumbled upon Axiom. Jim said, “After reading the questionnaire for the hiring process, I was pretty intrigued by the nature of the questions and their intended design. After speaking with Bobby on a rather long phone interview, I was quite interested with what he had to say.” When asked what Jim likes about working with Bobby he explained, “He has a lot of the same experiences; We like the same movies, we grew up in the same era, same types of hobbies. He’s like a shorter version of me but with more hair.” Jim is our Jr. Engineer here at Axiom and he has done some amazing work. He fits in so well with the atmosphere and that is so important for anyone on our team. We are glad to have him as part of the team.
